1960's Crown CTV-12, 4" Transistor Portable Micro TV.
The set is complete with the exception of the simple AC cord. Cosmetics are good to excellent overall. As you can see in the pics below there is couple small depression in the aluminum speaker grill and name plate at the rear. Please also see some minor paint loss around the top small knobs, scratches at the bottom right of the radio FM-AM switch, small marks to the front gray and silver plastic trim and some tiny marks on the satin chrome trim and to the painted and other plastic surfaces.
This micro TV comes with the rare TAD-2, 117/220 volt switchable AC adapter.
Using an AC cord I made, a quick, non conclusive test shows the TV picture tube lights up across the center only and sound can be heard through the speaker with Radio-TV in the TV position. In the Radio position both AM and FM stations can be heard by manipulating the AM-FM switch back and forth many times, the FM was hard to get going and the sound was faint with volume all the way up, AM sound was strong with lots of static.
This TV will need to be gone over and repaired by a qualified
technician
before use. It can/might/will stop working at all any second so it is
sold
as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns
. The important thing is the chassis is all there with no known missing electronic parts so it is valuable as a true antique/
collectible
or can be restored if desired. I do not have the AC cord, one will have to be found or made to fit before use, after electronic restoration.
With the handle in the normal down position under the set, this TV measures 5 1/2” tall, 10 1/2” wide, 9 1/2” deep and weighs 8 lb.
Box will measure 10” tall, 16” wide, and 14” deep and weigh 10 lb. when packed.
Good, strong packing supplies/boxes including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the boxes will cost and FedEx Ground shipping (cheapest/ best handling ground service) will cost .00. There is no charge for my packing labor.
