Vintage 1940's Packard Bell Model 3381, "Telecaster" 10" Console TV w/ FM Radio

1948 Packard Bell Model 3381, "Telecaster" 10” console TV with FM radio. The "Telecaster" name refers to this unique "Television" that  has built-in "casters" making it easy to move around the house. This was Packard Bell's very first TV and the earliest ones had 13 channel tuners. This particular set was made most likely in late 1948 or sometime in 1949, it has a 12 channel tuner even though the channel number plate has channels 1 through 13 stamped on it.
Cosmetics of the wood cabinet are excellent overall with just a few minor scratches/marks/flaws. Please notice some separation in mostly the lower part safety glass clouding some of the lettering/graphics. Also notice the cabinet back is missing. Be sure to see all of the many photos below.
Chassis/electronics appear to be all-original and mostly complete with the exception of the missing high voltage cage cover, AC cord and the FM dial string and simple pointer. Comes as shown with all tubes including the 10BP4 picture tube and all are untested. The picture tube still holds it vacuum and displays well.
I buy, sell and collect vintage TV’s, I do no electronic restorations/repairs. I am selling this set as pictured, as-is, display only, not working, for parts and repair, no returns. For safety reasons an AC cord is not included. This 60+ year old TV must be looked over, safety checked and repaired/restored by a qualified technician before use.
The picture tube may work perfectly or not at all. If you don’t want to take a chance on it, that is fine with me. I will subtract from the final sale price and adjust the shipping costs for less weight.
TV measures 37” tall, 21 1/2” wide, 21” deep and weighs 85 lbs.
Picture tube must be removed and shipped separate
. Picture tube measures 10" in diameter, 17 1/2" tall and weighs 12 lb.
TV cabinet with chassis will measure
42” tall, 26” wide, 26” deep and weigh 95 lbs. packed/boxed.
Picture tube will measure 14" x 14" x 25" tall and weigh 16 lb. packed/boxed.
Good, strong packing supplies including 2” thick hard Styrofoam to line the boxes will cost . eBay discounted FedEx Ground (cheapest/ best handling ground service) shipping rate for this oversized, heavy shipment of 2 separate items will cost 0.00. There is no charge for my packing labor. If it ships for less I will refund the buyer the difference.
